Night Clubber Wreaks Revenge On Man's BMW After Row 09:13 - 08 February 2010 man takes revenge after row at nightclub NIGHT clubber Liam Reynolds tried to "wreak some sort of revenge," by hurling a rock through the window of a BMW convertible car, following a row with the vehicle's owner. Reynolds had been drinking heavily before leaving a club in a taxi - and caused more than ВЈ2,600-worth of damage to David Andrew's car when he turned up outside his Fordham home. The missile thrown at the car in Trinity Close smashed a front offside window, damaged the soft-top frame, and covered a child's seat inside the vehicle with shards of glass. Appearing before Ely magistrates on Thursday, Reynolds admitted causing criminal damage, and he was given a two-year conditional discharge. He was also ordered to pay ВЈ2,695 compensation and ВЈ85 costs. "We got a taxi to Fordham and my friend said 'I know where he lives," Reynolds explained. "For some stupid reason I caused t
BMW Vehicle: Eibach launch BMW X1 Kit - Off-road skills with on-road thrills!

It may have been in the showrooms for all of 5 minutes, but already suspension guru Eibach has a full complement of suspension products for the new BMW X1. Although BMW has obviously set out to endow the soft roader with impressive on-road ability, the new Eibach products remove the compromises of the standard suspension set-up to endow the capable Bavarian with an incredible degree of steering precision and driver feedback. Knowing that most X1s won t see much more off road action than a muddy puddle, this new kit offers drivers the chance to really exploit the superb chassis. For those looking for the ultimate balance of ride comfort and response, The Pro-Kit lowered springs work in harmony with the factory damper units to lower the car by approximately 30mm. This improved centre of gravity reduces body roll and improves turn-in. Thanks to the spring s unique progressive winding, developed by Eibach s F1 engineers, compliance is retained almost at factory levels. Appearances howeve
style='font-size:14.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman"'>A man who was seriously injured during a rollover accident in his BMW Z3 roadster was not entitled to a new trial against the automaker based on alleged attorney misconduct and the jury’s apparent confusion regarding the special verdict form, this district’s Court of Appeal has ruled. In its Thursday decision, Div. Three held that Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Soussan G. Bruguera had prejudicially erred by relying on inadmissible statements in juror declarations in reaching her decision to grant Richard Bell’s motion for a new trial. Bell asserted that he had been driving along a curve on a freeway transition road in November 2002 when the tail end of his 1996 BMW Z3 suddenly slid out and he lost control of the car. Although he said he was wearing his seatbelt, Bell claimed his head had come into contact with the ground through the soft top of the convertible when the car twice rolled over on the dirt embankment.

2010 BMW 335d Named Best Luxury Vehicle By Popular Mechanics Treat yourself to a lavish Irvine BMW experience today at Orange County dealership. Irvine, CA (PRWEB) February 7, 2010 -- Irvine BMW is proud to announce that Popular Mechanics has named the 2010 BMW 335d the Best Luxury Vehicle on the market. As a vehicle ahead of the curve in its ability to produce sports car acceleration with exemplary economy, the 335d reels in lesser cars with virtual effortlessness. Luxury cars don t have to be one-dimensional, Irvine BMW General Sales Manager Steve Rudkin said. The 2010 335d blends luxury, performance, fuel economy and exhilaration into one very rewarding package. Under the hood is a TwinPower turbocharged 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder diesel, with a mammoth 425 lb-ft of torque that can return solid mileage. It takes only one brief prod of the right pedal to know the BMW has an incredible motor. The rush of torque is not unlike an old-school big-block V8 s. This diesel model fits rig
Practical qualities could make X1 ideal for BMW car hire Feb 8 2010, 12:51 PM The new BMW X1 should be praised for its safety, styling and economic prowess, according to one review. Writing for the Liverpool Echo, Ian Johnson highlights the practical qualities that the smallest member of the X-Series family possesses. He draws attention to the styling of the car, explaining that it is essentially a more compact and affordable version of the popular X5 model. The vehicle's elegant lines and commanding driving position echo its larger stablemate, while the five-seat configuration and 1,350-litre boot space provide outstanding load-lugging capability, he writes. Prestige car hire enthusiasts may also want to hear about the X1's safety ratings, which make it one of the safest cars in its class. Motorists will be given the choice of three diesel engines with either rear-wheel or four-wheel drive. Furthermore, the 204bhp top-of-the-range X1 X-Drive 23d will propel drivers to 62mph in a res
Given the inexorable rise of oil burners over the past decade it is a surprise to discover that in terms of fast, affordable diesel hatchbacks, the new Seat Ibiza FR TDI really is the only show in town at the moment. Bring any of the cars current competitors to mind (Fiesta, Corsa, Mito, Punto, 207, Fabia, Polo etc) and all lag some way behind the Ibiza's power. The FR's superiority is thanks to the new 2.0-litre TDI engine Seat has wedged under the bonnet. The turbo diesel produces 140bhp, but the headline figure is the torque; 236lb ft between 1750 and 2500rpm. These figures mean the Ibiza is not only quicker than the previous model, but also comfortably faster than anything else in its segment. And thanks to common rail technology, the new engine is also more economical and has lower emissions. Seat claims the FR is capable of 64mpg, while CO2 emissions of just 119g/km means the Ibiza costs just 35 a year in tax. Even the insurance is cheap. Continue reading First Drive: Seat Ibiz
STATESVILLE, NC - A phone call from a suspicious neighbor helped lead police to a man who they said broke into a car to steal the owner's manual. Carl Russell Daye of Statesville was charged with breaking and entering a motor vehicle. Statesville Police Chief Tom Anderson said a citizen living on Davie Avenue noticed a man looking into the vehicles in the area and called police. Statesville police officers responded and found a man fitting the description on Stockton Street, Anderson said.
